  • Should I have bloodwork done before my appointment?
    For existing patients, yes, we will send you a laboratory request form 2 weeks in advance of your appointment. You can take that to the patient service center of a laboratory that accepts your insurance. We will receive the results in advance of your appointment. This way you can discuss the results of the tests with Doctor Klein. For new patients, no, Doctor Klein will determine whether bloodwork will need to be done during your visit and will send you with a laboratory request slip after your consultation.
  • Does Dr. Klein accept insurance?
    Doctor Klein does not accept insurance for office visits. Patients pay reasonable out of pocket fees at the time of the visit. We will provide an itemized statement that can be submitted to your insurance company for "Out of Network" reimbursement if that is part of your plan. This is ONLY for office visits. Please see procedure and bloodwork for more information.
  • Is bloodwork covered by insurance?
    Yes, you will have bloodwork done at the patient service center that is convenient for you, of a lab that accepts your insurance.
  • What if I need to have a procedure done?
    If your situation requires a procedure, the provider who performs the procedure will take your insurance and that will be covered.
  • If I forget to have bloodwork done, should I cancel my appointment?"
    No, if you forget to have the bloodwork done, please do not cancel your appointment. In this situation, Doctor Klein will meet with you and perform your checkup and then you can have the bloodwork done afterwards. He will then call to follow up with you about the results.
